Electrical Problem PLEASE HELP
Hello guys and gals, I am new to this forum and am an owner to an 04 3.0i Sport for some time now. Recently I’ve replaced both of my front window for the millionth time
However after this time I’ve run into a problem. When I put the window switches back in the master switch only operates drivers side window, drivers mirror and window locks nothing else. If I go to the passenger side and press that switch the window works only from that side. Rear windows stopped working completely. When I open and close the front doors the car does not even realize that anything happens, no lights, no sound, no “door open” warning. To top it all the front doors do not lock or unlock from the remote buttons and there’s no alarm chirp or any lights. If I put the key in the lock cylinder it also does not open or close all windows when I turn it, so I am in a pickle because I’ve never experienced anything like it. I’ve tried disconnecting the battery from both terminals but nothing the car does not respond. I do not have a single aftermarket thing, system or alarm or anything like that the truck is all stock. My guess is can it be the master switch gone bad ? If so which side since they’re both interchangeble, but then why would they work only for their own side ? Or does the problem lay elsewhere ? I would greatly appreciate any info. Thank you.

The drivers door switch module contains a number of systems that control many of the functions you have indicated are not working. It is also known for being easily damaged by water ingress. Remove the drivers door unit and check for signs of water staining at the lowest point (when it's sitting in place in the door).
It's also possible one of the three connectors on the drivers module isn't connected properly. The connector in the door hinge area is known to corrode occasionally and wires inside the flexible rubber boot near this connector have also been found to fail (break). Make sure you disconnect the battery before removing the door wiring connector near the hinge, otherwise you'll be dealing with SRS faults next....

I would suggest disconnecting any switches you disconnected and check to see if you bent/damaged any pins first. Go over and double check everything you did during the repair. Make sure everything was placed in the same location/position you removed it from. From that point you are simply going to need to begin troubleshooting. Check fuses of related systems.
You have two identical window master switches? I thought only the driver side had the master switch? Sent from my iPhone using Xoutpost.com

Gentleman thank you for your output however I have checked the hinge wiring and no sign of corrosion there. I’ve taken the panels off again after finding out if I maybe did something wrong but nope everything seems to be in order. I’m going to check all of the pins tomorrow to see if I maybe any of them. And from what I checked both switches have identical connectors and are interchangeble that’s why I called both of them “master” switches.

The front passenger door and the two rear doors normally only contain a single switch - for the windows. The drivers door contains four window switches and switches for the mirrors and door locks. It also contains some of the circuitry for for all these system, something the other doors don't have. There's definitely only one "master" switch - the one in the drivers door. And they aren't interchangeable....

His problem extends beyond what I was trying to fix though. Mine was trying to determine if I had a bad motor, regulator or switch. I don't know if swapping them is going to help determine anything in this case.

Right as I said the connectors for both passenger and drivers side are identical and you can plug one into the other, my guess is they did that so they don’t have to run two different harnesses for LHD and RHD vehicles. Now I apologize for wording it wrong, yes of course the switches are obviously different however the two front are the same under the “switch panel” and the two rear ones also are the same inside.

OP I dealt with your issue a little over a year ago after replacing a failed door handle carrier on ‘06 4.8is. No power window, mirror adjustment/fold, remote door lock, door open lighting and chime and maybe more. All came back on eventually after fiddling with the connectors attached to drive door module.
You should also check the corresponding fuses. If fuses are ok, There are three connectors attached to the module, make sure you disconnect each and reconnect them properly, especially X1128 and X1129.
