2002 Bmw x5 3.0 crank no start

These pictures are not that great. But here is what the scanner says on the screen. I clicked on scan ews an tcm and got no communication error. I'll try to take some better ones later on.
This weekend. I will check for spark and check for fuel pressure with a pressure gauge and report back

Looks like your OBD2 has a broken wire and that could be why you're getting a no communication error. Does your scanner pick up the vin number, make, model when you start it under automatic?

I can see the placement of the wires in the picture. I'm gonna repair that wire this weekend..

I don't recall if the scanner picks up that info. I just hit the automatic search and it connects to the car.

Ill try again tonight. Just to check and confirm.

Also, I have notice. When I open my car door with the key in the ignition. There is no door Chime at all. Does that mean the ews or key antenna signal is bad? Or is it normal?

There is a switch for key in. If you have high cluster you will get key in alert on the dash if the such a is working. My key buzzer doesn't work but car does.

Your scanner connects so you probably their is a wiring problem under the hood. Searching which modules you can see will help find the problem.
