DSC not recieving ABS input

Hey guys, I new here but not to bmws. I think i have had 7 differnet bmws in the last 10 years. I just bought a new to me 2004 X5. I am having a problem with the DSC. I took it to my local indie mech. and got the codes read, my DSC is not getting any input from the ABS so can anybody help me find out what this means. I am thinking steering angle sensor, I have tried the reset method and still no dice. No other lights are on just the 4x4 light. Please help X gurus.

ABS and DSC are in the same module....

What codes came up? If it was for a steering angle sensor, then it might be bad.

What reset did you try - just turning the wheels lock to lock or did you use the re-calibration routine in the BMW diagnostics software (like INPA etc.)?

Just turning wheel lock to lock. I cant cant remeber the exact code, but it said DSC not getting input from ABS. It didnt say anthing about steering angle sensor, Im just guessing.

I checked all the fuses they are all good. I will get better info next week after the holiday.
