If it does end up being a problem, a relay setup will cure that fairly easily.

so how would I tap the angel eyes to be drl? They aren't on all the time, or maybe I'm not understanding something.

Tap into any +12v ACC power source for DRL and then side markers for the signal lights. The one I use is in the engine bay ECU box. Forget the wire color but I did make a thread about it so the info is on here somewhere.

And based on that diode dynamics link that you sent me, can I get the halos in without disassembling the whole headlight unit?
