What's the widest tire size for rear style 87 wheels?

What's the widest tire size that can be installed on rear style 87 wheels without rubbing? Anyone know? Considering going wider on the rear only. Currently have 315/35R20.

Style 87 specs:
Front 9.5x20 offset ET 45. Regular Tire size 275/40R20.
Rear 10.5x20 offset ET 30. Regular Tire size 315/35R20.

Thanks!

I think I found a definitive answer.
https://tiresize.com/comparison/

The widest tire for that rim-10.5" wide is 315/35/20. The next wider tire is 325/35/20 which requires wheel 11"-13" wide rim.

^Yes, you can put a 325 on a 10.5" wheel. 11" is better, but unless you are on a race track, 325 will not cause any issues. If you are only changing the rear though, you may throw off the Xdrive.

Also keep in mind there is exactly one tire available in 325/35r20. Pirelli Pzero @ ~$500/tire. I wait to find a good used one every now and then to purchase. Usually around $150/tire for 8-10/32nds.

Is there a particular reason you want to run wider? 315 is already massive!

To fill the wheel wells more and bring the tire closer to the fender you can add spacers. If you do purchase spacers choose the kind that come with longer lug bolts. I have 87s with stock size tires and Velocity 18 mm spacers all around.

Thank you Bcredliner, I think I'll opt for that. Does your sig pic X5 have those spacers installed already?

Yes, this is with spacers. FYI It is also lowered with H&M lowering kit which also contributes to filling the wheel wells.

I went with 25mm rear spacers but wish I had gone with 20mm. Mine is flush with the outer edge of the flares but does throw some water around in the rain... Yours looks good.

What race track is that backdrop? TMS or TWS?

Thanks.

That's Texas Motor Speedway. It's about 30 minutes from our house. The shop that wrapped the Carbon Fiber on my hood and mirrors was located at the speedway.

I went back and forth on what size spacers to purchase, same reason you mention.
