Same thing. Doesn’t fit. That thinnest part on yours, needs to be just as thin for much longer part of the edge. Has a depth of about 1/8”. Personally I suggest using said tool if you have an angle grinder. Just cut off that section a bit larger than what it comes with.

As a matter of fact LVR. You can see on your tool where it bit into the aluminum control at left edge of that flat part. I have a feeling you got lucky, and the tool dug into that groove that’s there.
