Some 3rd party key places reuse OEM keyfob boards along with their own RFID ews chip. Unfortunately I when they do this, the copper coil on the oem board interferes with the RFID chip and the ak90 can't read/write to it.

You need to take fob apart and see be if that's the case.

Here are some pics from when I had to do it.

That coil is the charging coil for recharging battery. Removing it just lets the recharge capabilities that only OEM retains.

Our Don't have ews 4. Only cars that have CAS module which are the e90/e60/e70 etc..
