Then like said it's more than likely a leaky injector. You can do the leak off test yourself with quite simple tools.

Loosen injector wiring loom and secure at side. Remove leak off lines from top of injectors. Compress leak off hose after the connectors with for example lock pliers (so return flow from other sources doesn't come out from those injector lines). Connect measuring cups on injector leak off lines. (There are measuring kits for this but I've used those 20 ml syringes with a piece of fuel hose which fits inside the leak off connector on top of injectors.) Start engine (use brake cleaner to aid if needed). Run engine on idle. The max accepted leak off on idle is 20 ml @ 2 minutes. Slightly higher values won't show on starting characteristics. So in your case it's more likely 30 ml or more during that time from one or several injectors.

Is this the DIY version of the injector return test, shown here?

The procedure has to be bullet proof to be done by every nuthead in any dealer shop.

Hi

I did the test today. After just running the engine for 10 seconds 1 syringe was filled up to 50ml and the second one was filled upto 20ml, so I had to switch the car off.
The rest was still filling up slowly as you can see the picture.

Is it right to do the test with syringe open from top or do they have to be closed?

Even I have a small hole at the top of the syringes for air to flow out. So the result is clear. You need nr.5 and 6 injectors refurbished or renewed.
