Finally cleared enough space to park both X5 in the garage tandem style.

So now have three cars inside at last. A bit tightly packed but a relief no to have to choose every evening which one of the two has sleep on the driveway.

I know the feeling. I absolutely love having my cars inside every night. Especially in the winter.

here in Calgary, not only is winter shitty and long, but in summer we have a few weeks from June to Aug where the hail storm drop hail the size of golf balls to baseballs. just a few weeks ago the storm caused a $1.2 BILLION damage. I had all 3 of my vehicles sitting in their car home. I built it specifically to let cars rest from the elements. a LOT of ppl here fill their garages with shit so their vehicles sit outside in winter and hail storms... I guess thats a part of the reason my 03/90 build 850i looks as good as she does. My e53 has a few door dings, but no hail damage. and new windscreen was installed a day before the storm, so I was MORE than tickled pink to be out of the hail.

Still chipping away at the ridiculous list I have for the house and cars. Operation Homeschool was completed last week. I'll be our girl's full time teacher this year (1st Grd) so she needed her own computer and desk to work. Mom and Dad were getting tired of sharing our systems. I frankenstein'd some Ikea desk tops together along with some Amazon table legs, a couple Ikea drawer/book cases, and some other random crap. Built her an old i3 system out of some spare parts and case I had in a closet. Happy with the results. Still some fine-tuning to do (need to move those shelves as I don't like them there now that the desk is under them), but this will get us through. The lights are there BTW because she requested purple lighting. I always leave it on "BMW interior orange" or "laguna seca blue." But she has her purple for when she's in there working. We have her practicing her cursive and typing before her school year starts in a couple of weeks so if purple lights get her excited to learn... I'm cool with it.

You can just see her curriculum stuff in the bottom of the pic. Same curriculum her private school uses so when she is able to go back for 2nd grade (HOPEFULLY!!!) she'll be right on track, or better.

Anyway, I hope most of you all are back to "normal" as much as possible. I'll still be plugging away at covid projects for some time.

PS: Yes, that is a "Son of Godzilla" VHS tape on the shelf. My kids love it just as much as I did when I was their age.
