IT HAS BEEN FOUND!
The X5 has been found by police, just 15 minutes from the location it got stolen from! I'm so happy!!! I realized that this is more than just a car / truck to me. A keeper for sure. There are no big damages or stolen parts, just a part of the passenger side mirror is missing and the subwoofer with custom box got stolen. Unfortunately my laptop with INPA and other software has not been found yet, same for the key that they took. Police is still investigating and might still find the thieves. It has been gone for 10 days total! We received info that the car was spotted driving to Antwerp on the 19th of August but I'm not sure if this is true now. Me and my brother did all we could and emailed as many car export companies that ship cars to Africa and checked 50 tabs of parts websites from every European country (this took about 2 hours per day, most days I checked twice) Thanks for all the kind comments on here! I'm so happy it's still in one piece. I think they only drove it for about 100km in total as there was about 1/4 of fuel gone. When they parked it they forgot to close the sunroof so some water came inside but it has already dried up and we cleaned the car as soon as we got it back. ![]() Waiting on Police, hopefully they find the suspects and get my key back, untill then I can't park the car anywhere. While we wait for that I'm going back to fixing the air suspension and Vanos / cam sensor faults, can't wait

Yaaay! Congratulations!
Excellent news!!! Really happy you recovered it.
Get the WA insurance with theft added? Or is that not offered anymore? Used to be a great option. Much cheaper than all risks and only a little more than just WA (=3rd pty liab).

I want to see your car recovered and it bugs me to read the thread and not see good news yet!
Please give us any updates like what the border camera captured (1, 2, 3 people inside) the possible fake plate number, anything at all and maybe use 4chan to find it as those guys have found criminals before just off of flights going overhead and timestamps (pedophile) so who knows? I do suggest you ask them directly and as a challenge since they love trying to beat impossible odds. Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk

LoL, true EOD. But beware when dealing with 4chan. That dog bites owner and intruder alike sometimes.
![]() Is there a Reddit thread for stuff like this? That's kind of 4chan "light" and might be useful.

YAY! IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Get a cheap t400 or d630 laptop and EDIABAS cable and reinstall INPA and ISTA D. PM me if you need installation links. I had a good feeling it was very close to where it was stolen. I believe you can delete all keys from the car you are no longer in possession of using DIS or ISTA to prevent that key from ever be used again and sync remote locking from each key you are in possession of as well. That wouldnt stop then from using it in the driver door key cylinder though to unlock it but it wouldnt start the x5...
