Im sure its closer than you think...

Check the local airport also, long term parking is a GREAT option for parking "joy-ride" cars, most airports don't report "abandons" until they hit 31 days... and even that is at the discretion of the lot attendant and how diligently he checks the lot.

EDIT, if there's a camera at the gate you may even get a picture if the jackasses that took the joy-ride.

This also sounds like it was pulled off by one familiar with you and your location. Someone who saw your workings on the vehicle. Sorry for your predicament and hopefully you recover it. All the best!

I have asked neighbors and nearby companies if they have camera's set up. But most of them live away from the main road or a spider web is blocking view.

Today(21st) we received info that the car was spotted 19th of August crossing the Dutch border to Belgium with Dutch plates. I have contacted police about that.

There is still hope I will get the car back.

My brother started contacting Belgium harbour companies to look out for the car.

Meanwhile we went ahead and purchased some GPS trackers for my family and my other car.

Onntrack 200. It has good reviews and has a 3 day back up battery built in, anti jamming, alarm mode, GPS +Wifi + Lbs tracking and it comes with lifetime free tracking.

Sorry to hear the bad news.

BMW gave us the FREE option to secure our SAV from being stolen.

It was the 4 digit code for the radio....without the right code....nobody can steal our X5 and other E-series lineup.

No code....no start....even if you have the right key!

But due to most of us.... "wanting"...newer infotainment.. we've abandon this feature.

I never heard of this before. That's very smart of BMW. The original nav did not have this when it was still in my car. Must have been turned off.

I want to see your car recovered and it bugs me to read the thread and not see good news yet!
Please give us any updates like what the border camera captured (1, 2, 3 people inside) the possible fake plate number, anything at all and maybe use 4chan to find it as those guys have found criminals before just off of flights going overhead and timestamps (pedophile) so who knows?

I do suggest you ask them directly and as a challenge since they love trying to beat impossible odds.

LoL, true EOD. But beware when dealing with 4chan. That dog bites owner and intruder alike sometimes.

Is there a Reddit thread for stuff like this? That's kind of 4chan "light" and might be useful.
