BMW e53 X5 Engine Mount Replacement
So I finally got around to replacing the motor mounts on my 2006 X5 with the 3.0L today. Not too bad of a job as long as you know what you're up against.
I didn't take the engine mount brackets off of the engine, I just lowered the front subframe and raised the engine a little. Also, would be a good idea to remove the mechanical fan so it doesn't hit the shroud. Hope it helps someone, there wasn't much on YouTube that I could find. And my disclaimer, I'm not a videographer, or a mechanic. https://youtu.be/njmQPmBnRMI I'm going to reference Overboost's thread below because there's some good info in there. Also linked an older engine mount thread. Link to other engine mount thread: https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...xperience.html https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...placement.html
