Thanks OB. I've been meaning too pick up a pair. Keep forgetting them when at the hardware store. Maybe I'll just order some from Amazon.

No luck. Dealer never responded on the X5. Must have caught the wife at the right time though as she did give me the go ahead on an imola red 2006 ZHP 330ci 6spd. Great 2 owner 89k mile example with service records. But the seller wanted $12.5k and I just couldn't bring myself to pay that for an E46 that isn't an M3. I'm sure they'll be worth that easy in another 5 years. Maybe next time.

Nice find! I agree a bit pricey. E46 M3 would be nice, although BMW got me with the E92 M3.

Wow! How did you convince her you were right and you could splurge on a new project?

Check out the 1 series. It's nowhere near as desirable as the E46, but it's basically the same car. This Feb, our loaded NAV, SPP, PP, CWP, single owner 2012 128 with ~34k miles was less than that E46.

Good to see you check in Prop.

I'll keep an eye out on the 1'ers. When last checking though all the manuals were commanding a heavy premium. At least on the 135's.

When I figure it out, I'll let you guys know. I just throw sh*t on the walls, sometimes it sticks. She said I need a manual in my life again. I wasn't going to argue.

Last picture update to this. Anything further will be in the audio install thread. I ordered a tone generator/polarity tester because I've wanted one for awhile and this was a nice excuse to do so. I toned all the speakers out and all 10 interior drivers are working 100%. Now I have a nice harness to route over to the amp rack when it gets installed in 2025.

BTW, if anyone wants to do something similar, I found this from across the pond. This would cost about $150 to order depending on shipping. Might have been worth it to buy this instead of making mine... but it's done and I learned some stuff.

DSP aftermarket bypass harness.

Learning something new everyday, priceless!

Buying something new everyday, expensive!
