"Unprogramming" a memory key?
Deprograming? Unprogramming? Not sure what to call it, but in all my years I have never run into this.
One of the keys on my 2002 4.6is clearly has a memory function in it for the hobbit that likely owned it before me.
When I turn the key, the steering wheel starts to automatically drop to the lowest position. The seats, nor the mirrors, move at all.
I have tried the simple memory steps (door open, set seat memory) and like I said - seat memory works fine but the steering wheel still drops.
Is there some procedure I'm missing here to have the key "forget" that memory setting? Or a different reset procedure? It's driving me batty.
