StevenG is on a distinguished road
Thanks guys. You are both right. The seal replacement went bad and now I’d like to remove the shaft. Just got back from the garage and the drive shaft is in the way. So I will need to drop the drive shaft at the front, have never done this. As per seal removal, I bought it on amazon, a GM transmission seal remover and looks like it’s made by PMD Products. SKU 9150. When I tried to use this tool it could not be screwed into the seal. I tried to gently tap it but it just pushed the seal further in. Looks like this tool might be slightly too big to grab the seal. My next step was i dropped the transmission pan and removed the roll pin from the selecting switch. When I tried to pull the selecting shaft out, it hits the front drive shaft. I might try my local Napa store for a similar tool made by a different manufacturer.
Thanks.
StevenG
