thanks, ok start within 5 seconds of turning ignition off you meant?, i got a working key, will start with that position 1 then off then out and follow steps of hold down unlock ( and press center of key 3 times with couple of seconds duration between clicks) and and then immediately after without putting in ignition will try the non working key correct?

Like I said the 5 sec countdown starts when ignition is first turned on. So immediately after turning on you turn off, remove key and do the procedure. Don't wait when pressing the lock button. Just press open and 3 fast clicks with the lock button. If the vehicles accepts the sync and shows it by locking and unlocking the doors, do the second remote immediately after without touching the ignition.

ok sir Clavurion, my main concerne is from reports , if you have one working key and one non working, and start process trying on the non working key (and non working may or may not sync) there are cases where the 'original' working key stops working after possible sync of non working, and so the original key has to be done immediately after, just worried I will affect my current working key. So from this point of view is why I ask if ok to start with my current working key the procedure (and see it accepts sync? and doesn't cause issue) then move straight on to no working one.

If there are doubts if the remote is working or not you can always start with the most likely working one.

I have one fully working remote/starts car ok, and a much newer not used at all
that starts car but will no longer remote unlock etc

Plan is to start sync again with the fully working, and immediately try sync the non working, without affecting the original, this was worry

If the lock and unlock button both with reliably you're not at high risk of remote not re-syncing.

When you start the re-sync it removes all existing keys from memory,? Not sure if it waits until it does the first sync before it erases but that makes the most sense.

Hello, yup the lock unlock buttons on one key is fine, daily use key, the other only starts car....and off course unlocks manually via the key hole...suppose will just pluck up courage and do as mentioned re-sync already ok key follwed by one that is not playing and see

I've been in the same boat a couple times and never had a failure.
