That fitting isn't one of the quick disconnects is it?

Oh damn .. maybe

It looks like there's a few more.

Maybe you can find one the right size. There are lots of people 3D printing stuff. You might be able to bring the radiator and one of the hoses to a 3D printer guy and they might be able to make it.

For the pictures, you can open image in new tab, get the URL of the image, and embed them here on the page inside the img tag.
Unfortunately that connector on the radiator doesn't seem to be the typical made for quick connector hose. Those blind plugs to replace quick connector hose are readily available on all typical sizes.

Thanks! This is tne most useful thing I've seen in this thread. I'd need to wallow out the clearance hole in the adapter plate and I'd need to find some more information in the description that shows what OD it's designed to go over. But it's definitely something I'm going to put in the back of my mind.

This thread just gets more and more ridiculous and confusing. In the pics it seems to suggest that the manual trans rad uses the plate as well? Threading a pipe thread with a tap or die would probably work nicely if the adapter plate doesn't prevent that somehow for the upper hole.

I am not going to be cutting threads into plastic without a boss.

If I'm not mistaken the separate support plate on manual version has a thru hole in that location for the extra coolant connector on radiator (where as the automatic version has a coolant passage. If that support is not modded it will prevent any plug on the outside of the coolant connector. So internal thread and plug with o-ring (like on the bleed nipples) would be the best solution.

The manual plate has the hole. And that hole has an o-ring groove, which is weird. It's almost like they cadded everything up for an automatic, then just changed the necessary parts for a manual, but left anything automatic in place that doesn't matter. Otherwise, why would you have an opening for a port that you aren't going to use, then put an o-ring groove in it that you DEFINITELY aren't going to use...? Germans...

Maybe put some heat shrink over the plug if the boss says it's OK
Hopefully we have this solved!

If that connector would be suitable for quick connector (or similar blind plug) that size range looks like the one with outer diameter 22,0 mm and on that size the distance from the end surface to locking pin groove centre line should be 20 mm. So that connector neck looks a bit too long. (The next smaller size would be 12,0 mm outer diameter.)

The ID is .450" and the OD is .650". That would be 16.51mm OD. I don't know why this isn't metric. I'm not complaining, though. I'll make the plug out of 1/2" aluminum. I'll be getting started in a couple hours.
