Unhappy Window regulators

So what's the deal with the window regulators? They replace defective ones with defective ones? I just had my drivers side rear one replaced two weeks ago and the window is stuck closed again....Arrgggh...Well at least it's not stuck open. How many has everyone else replaced?

Yours is the first face-lifted model I've heard of with defective window regs. I haven't had a problem with mine - yet. Any other post-face-lift window reg problems? GL w/yours Laura! What a pain, huh?

Maybe someone at the dealer just wants you to visit more....no window reg problems here at almost 20K. Sorry. And you'd think a driver's windoe would go first...Nothing less productive than twiddling your thumbs at the dealer.

Good point, I'd take bets on the sales guy. He sees me drooling over that 650 everytime I go in. I feel a test drive coming on...

A few months ago I thought one of my passenger side window regulators had also experienced a repeat failure. But it turns out that one of the bolts holding the window to the regulator had come loose and caused a bind.

Hmmmm....maybe your sales guy has Munchausen Syndrome by proxy.

What about the switch in the door?--those can fail too.

The rear passenger window refused to go up but I forgot to ask what it was. I do know it stayed over night. I'll try to remember to go back in the records and look.

So if it's the switch on the drivers door, the window should work if I try the switch on the rear door?

I...think...so...is that a trick question?

I had the driver' door panel switch replaced in your favorite car, my V70R. 13 month's later it went bad again. Volvo got all knotted up about the finality of the warranty period, and the rest is hystery (sic).
