My installer used the Zaino clay bar before installing the Xpel. No wax or silicone remover. Are you installing yourself? Good luck if this is your first time.

3M makes one that is available at most auto parts stores. Go to a true jobber store like NAPA or Carquest- most of these mix paint for small body shops- they will have access to a good remover. The remover can cloud the Lexan on the headlight assembly.
As far as the install goes- it is a 3 star install- an experienced DIY can do it OK. If it is your first, plan on buying a second kit to correct your mistakes. There is a steep learning curve here- it took 4 installations of different types for me to get a 3 star correct. A 4 star that I did recently came out OK, but not perfect.

I used their x-pel head lamp protection. One thing I learned is to squeegy it really good. It's been almost 3 weeks and my head lamp has about 2 little water bubbles left to dry compared to first week where there was tons. But it works really well. There are video on their website showing you how to install their products which was helpful. But I discovered it afterward....

Thanks For The Info Guys. I'm Definitely Going To Need A Lot Of Luck And Probably Will End Up Going To One Of Their Installers As I Just Noticed One Of The Kits For The Aero Bumper Has A 5 Star Difficulty Rating
And It Doesn't Have The PDC Holes!!!! As Far As The Videos Are Concerned, I Was Looking Through Them Over The Weekend I Just Hope It Helps When It Comes Down To The Install!!!!

What's up with the caps?
All of the Clear Bra pro installers in the autopia.org detailing website says it took them about 2 installs before they learned how to do it right and the failed installs had to be discarded. It's a trial and error type learning process, more heavily weighed towards learning by error. |

i had mine professionally installed and I remember the 1st thing they did was wash with Dawn to get the grease and wax off. It was a 3 hr install and it was pre-cut, so it can take some time to do. Mine is warrantied for life too as I also had a small bubble after the 1st month. So far, so good.

get it done by a pro
I suggest a pro, i had mine done about 3 months ago. it took him about 7 hrs to put on the 3 piece kit for the 4.8. Headlights also, I also had him do the sides of the vehicle below the door strip and also the painted door thresholds that everyone drags their feet on. it looks great no bubbles but he was working. He used houshld ammonia to get off the wax. chucker
