open the top section of your arm rest where the phone snap in would go. Press the bluetooth button in there for 5 seconds and then whilst pressing, turn the ignition on to (2).. The display should then show pairing. Now search using your phone and you should find your car.

Make sure that in your Treo quick dial screen, there are no numbers in any of your contacts that include * or # . These could reset your Treo while it tries to pair with your X5. |

Verizon Treo 650 works but....
Ok my Treo 650 works now now, I had to take off all the # and * out of the favorite buttons especially the VOICEMAIL one that has automatic password dial for my voicemail. Is there any other way to put the auto password?
Thank you everyone for your help! BB |

Hi,
The Bluetooth module is in the back below the CD player and Nav unit in the rear cargo hold. You will have to take the spare tire out to get at it, but the passkey will be printed on that device. it should say PK#### with the 4 numbers being your key. Joe |

I have read through this thread a couple of times now and believe I should have Bluetooth. I have the Telephone option on my screen and I also have BMW Assist. However, when I look in the back under the NAV unit I don't see anything that resembles a deck of cards or that has any kind of code on it. Some one said something about removing the spare tire but I am not sure how that will help me get to the code.
It does look like I am pre-wired for a CD changer which made me happy. If anyone has picture or a link to a picture of what this is supposed to look like could you post it for me? Thanks!

The code your looking for is on a card that came with the vehicle when it was shipped. If you don't have that card more than likely you will need to go into the dealer and perhaps with your vin # that code will be provided from BMW.

Bluetooth
I had a similar problem with bluetooth on my vehicle. I could not get it into pairing mode despite trying the button on the phone cradle and the steering wheel. Called to my friendly dealer and they activated it through the service computer
