ddcha,

One thing I would recommend you research is whether or not these particular rims will handle the extra weight associated with the X5's. Some of the guys on the forum have recently attempted to fit (the sweet-looking) 6-series rims on their X5's only to find out that, while they would technically fit, they were inadequate to handle the X5 load capacity.

Hope thats helpful...

I hadn't even thought of that. Not sure how to verify that either (hard to rely on an eBay guy). Now I'm worried...

Thanks for all your helpful responses. I'll definitely post pics when I get them. I settled for a different set. Similar look but smaller offset (wider stance). Running the same Toyos but the fronts will be 20x9 ET38 and rears will be 20x10 ET22. I can't wait!!

I found a picture with this same style. Only difference is that these are 22" and in a hyperblack finish. Looks really good in my opinion.

ddcha,

I agree - they look terrific. The ones pictured on the Blue X5 however appear to be 22" HRE 640R's. This model is specifically designed for SUV's and will set you back about $8000.00 for the set. HRE also sells a wheel that looks similar but does NOT have the proper load capacity SUV's require (HRE 540R). Looks alone can be deceiving.

I guess the real question is whether you can get comparable (acceptable) load performance from a $1200.00 set of replicas. Perhaps the seller can provide you load ratings.

Let us know how it all works out...

I'm so bummed. I cancelled my order because of this dumb reply to my question about load ratings....

Me: what is the load rating on these wheels? Do they handle the load of an X5? I'm worried that the load rating won't be able to handle an SUV. Please advise.

Response: They are pretty tough rims. For the load rating I am not sure. But as long as you are not towing a big boat. You are fine. Thank you
