See my post with the full instructions if it's a BMW fire extinguisher. I just wanted him to finish the post with some actual pics.

what i see on your picture is what i have on my X5. I think, I have sport seats, the ones that have the little pad under the knees extending manually. The cylinder does not obstruct the movement of the pad, and when the pad is extended, you hardly see the extinguisher.
The mounting kit comes with two L-shaped brakets and 4 screws. Two screws attach the mounting piece from the extinguisher to the L-shapes and the other two screw attach those L-shapes to the two holes in the seat frame. Those L-shapes offset the extinguisher from the seat to clear one from the other. The holes in the frame are NOT threaded, and will call for M6 metric thread. I tried and tried with my die sets until I just said, screw it (pun intended!!!), got myself self-cutting metal screws from a local Home Depot and screwed the L-shapes into the frame. the L-shapes are holding on rock solid onto the frame, the extinguisher is finally installed. Those L-shapes are - 82 27 9 413 886 the factory extinguisher - 72 60 0 000 335 which is a Gloria 1kg unit. I, as a matter of fact, have the Gloria one, got it from someone who had contacts in Poland.

In many countries you are allowed to tow another vehicle using yours, thus a tow hook as a part of the tool kit. In the US the hook is used to pull the car onto a flatbed, that's all... In those places where you can tow your buddy's car as a favor to him, a "soft" link is prohibited (i.e. a rope), thus a hard link is used, where the tow bar is hooked to tow "eyes" on both cars...
my question is - this towbar seems to be a little too short for comfort, so i was wondering, if anyone actually had used it... BTW, the item is same for Mercedes, Audi and probably some other euro cars... we carry a spare tire (some of us, at least... lol...) might as well have something else useful...
