I have the full boat of Dinan mods which includes transmission software. (Dinan states) The software revises the shift points to match up to engine and exhaust mods, maximum RPMs are increased to use the extra horsepower, more road speed in every gear and speeds up the shifts. The manual mode is different also, more control over gear selection. I retrofitted to a SMG M3 paddleshift wheel. Software does as Dinan says. Always drive in manual mode, much more fun, love it!

I missed part of the posts. All Dinan mods were installed when it was new. I have over 108,000 miles on the X. It still has the original TQ and Tranny. Fluid is changed every 50,000 miles. No problems with rough shifts. I stay in full manual so that I control the downshifts.

The "034" revision by ZF must have done something right.

126k on Dinan software, original TC, original 5HP24.
