With Nav:
- Put Key in position 1
- Click on Menu button
- Go to Code
- Enter 0000
- Put Key in position 0
- Put Key in position 2 and try to start the car
- Immediately type in 0000 and deactivate
- The car will start automatically

This would definitely be cooler, if:
#1 We wouldn't have to re-enter the code, each time we turn the car off.
#2 We wouldn't have to actually turn the key at all.

Another thing this made me realize. You dont need to hold the key in position 3 and simple turn to position 3 and immediat release will work since the engine keeps cranking until it starts. That's also pretty cool!

When you attempt to start the car, between the moment you put the key in position 3 and key in all four 0's + Deactivate (click the right button 5 times) you only have about 2-3 seconds max.

EDIT: I meant position 3 not 2, you need to turn in the key just like you want to start the car.

mine is an 01 4.4 with OEM nav, doesn't work at all and the 5 times clicking will be uncomfortable and more time consuming than just cranking it to start engine.

i'm so tempted to try this but me being mechanically/electronically challenged...i'm afraid i might activate it but won't start on me and i'll be stuck in the middle of nowhere. then i will have to look for the undo of this procedure in the manual and who knows how long that will take...

so tempting though...really sounds cool to do
