For a 285 width tire you would want a 285/50R18 to be close to the stock diameter.

This almost 10% difference in axel speed, what won't match up causing in what being damaged if I continue for a short period of time like it is now?

The transfer case is where the damage will most likely occur, not to mention the traction control and ABS going nuts.

Have you been driving it like this already? I imagine the dash lighting up like a christmas tree.

I just picked it up tonight and yes the dash lights lit up like a christmas tree a couple blocks after I left the shop. I'll be on the phone with my guy in the morning ordering front tires. I'll probably pull one of the rears and try it on the front just to see if it clears also. it'll be interesting that's for sure. The grip I'll have will be unparalleled I think if all goes well.

Thanks a bunch. You've been a huge help. I've got a set of 20mm spacers I had for my E36 M3 to clear the Stop Techs I had installed but now since I've upgraded wheels that have more internal space, they're collecting dust. Maybe I'll see if they fit also. Good idea for sure. You're ride looks awesome

Nothing to do one rainy afternoon about a year ago so I had a shot of chopping what I
reckon an e53 X5 would've looked like dressed up for off road.

I'll be surprised but happy if they do clear on the front. I'm surprised they fit in the back.

Do you have any pics of them?

I'll take some pics tomorrow when it's light. That back tires are close. If anything, I'll stick with the same height in the front and go slightly narrower. I'm going to have to work fast. Damage wise to my transfer case, how much time do you think I have? Best guess

I would avoid driving it at all costs.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Yes it will mess up your transfer case if you drive like that, the clutches in it will wear at an astonishing rate while you drive... And will cost you a transfer case if you drive like that. Also, it will render the ABS/DSC useless and the vehicle will actually act as a 2 wheel drive with no traction control, not good for snow.
