Anyone know if a 2001 X5 can have "autolock" turned on? (no premium package) Thanks.

don't really like the first part...it should lock again...

or maybe it's just me.
This is weird. Mine will autolock even when I have unlocked it via the central lock to let someone in or out, when I reach the predetermined speed.

I don't think so Mine does not relock at 9mph if I use the central locking button on the console to let somebody out, either. The only way it will re-lock at speed is if somebody pulls twice on the handle to open the door from the inside (something which I don't like, I'd rather press the center console button twice) ... while I'm on this, I'd like to rant for a little bit ... do people who ride in your X's that don't know to pull the handle twice pull really hard on the first try like your door is broken? I hate that .......

rant over, carry on.

I understand your rant. I have been known to "inform" my passengers on the "proper" method of trying to exit my X5. Fortunately(for them), I've only had to tell them once.

and yes, I had my 2001 X5 autolock turned on. I like the feature and had it on my 2 previous American vehicles.
