X5 4.4 vs Infiniti FX45

A buddy of mine and me where having a conversation and he was trying to tell me that the Infiniti FX45 drives and performs better than the X5. Anyone who has driven both or has good knowledge please reply so i can have some info to go back at him with.

Thanks

FX45 is faster than a BMW 4.4. Not sure about 4.6/4.8.

As far as driving, no clue. The car did get lots of praise from car magazines when it first came out.

Neighbor went from a FX45 to a X5. I remember him saying the FX45 was junk compared to the X5. I'll try and ask him more today when I see him.

Totally different types of rides and vehicles. Japanese engineering and styling has NOTHING in common with German style. That aside, the FX45 is the top of the line FX, so you would have to compare it with the 4.8 X5, which would ROAST it in all performance aspects.

And this is what is hot/not with the FX 45 (these types of reviews are SO DUMB):

What's Hot
• Further proof that platforming can work
• Won't ever be mistaken for a Jeep
• Impressive brakes and sport-tuned suspension
What's Not
• High beltline and domed roof feel confining
• Tight rear-passenger accommodations
• Interior and dash lack Euro flair and tastefulness

yeah...this is what's important...

are they actually testing these vehicles, or are they just looking at someone's parked on the street?

A good friend owns an FX45 and we often drive in each others vehicles. We both agree that my 4.4 X5 (w/ sport suspension) is the better vehicle. The inside of the FX45 feels plasticy and cheap (although I've heard it has been improved), and the visibility is atrocious...that rear window is the size of a postage stamp!

The FX45 was on my short list of vehicles to purchase...the X5 clearly won.

Saying that paints an incomplete picture. Care to elaborate
