X5 Towing an Enclosed Car Trailer!

Here's a few images of my 4.4i towing a 20' Featherlite Car Trailer.
So far, I am impressed with the X5's towing ability!
I would love to get the opinion of X5 owners regarding the front end of my X5. Please make note of the fog lamps and windshield washers. What do you think?
Thanks

Here is what she will be towing:

here's my 24' enclosed carson trailer that i use to haul my race car, fully loaded now at about 7000 lbs...

here's my equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch with 10k lbs anti sway bars

i also have the prodigy brake controller velcro'ed to my dash under the light control so its in easy reach

btw, you should get some clip on tow mirrors... i have a set that i can't seem to find online anymore.. mine have 1 large mirror and 1 smaller one at the very edge. gives me 3 angles per side so i can see the blind spots of my trailer very easily...
here's a similiar set with only 1 large mirror tho:

Not 100% sure about the fog light covers, but the painted washer nozzles looks great.

Sweet pics! Nice to see the X5 towing big loads and putting full-size pickups to shame!

I just towed a 7 X 16 foot trailer with 3 motorcycles and do not know why so many of you owners rave about their X5's. I have a 2006 4.4 and I was not at all impressed with its towing. I towed the trailer form New Orleans, LA to Panama City, FL and ever little incline caused my X5 to down shift into passing gear and reved up the RPS to 4500 and higher. Sounded like it was going to explode. You definitely can not tow with cruise control unless you are on a level roadway . I had to actually get a running start and then slow my pace to prevent the tremendous down shift. We are not talking about any big hills in Louisiana or Florida. My 2003 Volvo XC90 T6 towed better. I suppose it had a different set up in the rear end of perhaps the 4 speed transmission had somethijng to do with it. How could you possible tow a 20' car trailer with that Viper?

What kind of trailer you have?
I have pulled a 6x12 with over 4000lbs.
I guess you have not seen X5 towing 31' Airstream

I'm a believer! Been thinking about getting a trailer to tow a sports vehicle myself. Please continue to keep us posted on the progress of the transmission. I know what the book states, and have seen it done. But am always nervous about actually towing something with the X5 (3.0i), in fear of the tranny going to the craps after pro-longed load exposure.

Great photos!
