What he work on? Unimogs? My X5 rides like a dream, and we're talking a 5000lb vehicle. I can't remember any postings concerning the suspension in the last 2yrs. And this is the place you would hear it first.

Everytime i get my x5 serviced and checked the guy (servies all cars) always complements how much better the x5 is built compaired to the ML and the Lexus and most other 4wd's. He was also telling me that he makes repairs on around 3 ML's every day they may be softer but the build quality isnt good. The onlything i have ever had to do to my x5 since 2/10/2002 was get a new front axel because it was leaking oil or something like that.

my friend has a nissan patrol and it has had 3 engine rebuilds 2 new turbos and then it blew up, nissan=not to good

LOL, nice one, but still don't know, I love my BMW and for some reason maintainance is not that bad. Don't get me wrong when things start to go bad, its like many other things go bad at the same time. Either way, preventative maintaince can protect me from any further problems.
