I think the 20" and 22" BRS (Breyton Spirit Replicas) work REALLY well on the X5.

I would have bought a set but you have no pictures of these wheels on an X5, especially in the 20 inch version. Maybe you should give someone a discount to install them on their X so you have photos of these wheels on an X. I know it has worked for the CSL wheels. IMHO hard to buy wheels when you don't know wht they will look like. On my 330, I knew exactly what I was getting

i have to agree with the exception of a few aftermarket rims I prefer the OEM look which is probably why I went with staggered 20" stylle 177 replicas.

I agree with most who stuck with the OEM/Replicas but there are only a handful here who are running with aftermarket rims that looks really nice. I myself stuck with the 20' Style 132 replicas.

Changing rims on SUVs is a touchy subject. Like most, we like the traditional classic look of what the X5 is supposed to look like when it came out of the production line. Its not the same in chaning rims with cars like audis and hondas.

Good Luck in whatever you chose to slap on your X5. Just make sure you show us all what you end up getting!

Good suggestion, I actually had pictures of them on an X5 but can't seem to locate them now

We've also got CSL wheels for you guys if you prefer that look.

IMO it's the big offset required for both the X3 and X5. The X5 wheels are ET45 F and ET48 R for the staggered set. There are very few vehicles on the road that have such a big offset and as a consequence, the wheel companies aren't going to make 1 piece wheels in this size without a broad market of vehicles to support their sales.

Secondly, there are very few good looking cast alloy wheels available in the correct offset. As it was explained to me many years ago by a wheel representative, deep dish cast wheels are inherently weaker than cast wheels with spokes pushed out to the outer lip as you see in most production cars. Bottomline was that he said if you want the strongest deep dish wheel, get a 3 piece forged wheel.

2 and 3 piece wheels are easily made for the correct offset, because they are assembled from parts that can be used in other offset applications. However, with 2 and 3 piece wheels are typically forged and come a big price tag, usually ranging from $800 per wheel on up.

Therefore, a replica wheels is a safe bet for an X3 or X5.

Actually, had it not been for big offset (ET41 F) on the E46 M3's, the selection of cast alloy wheels would be even more sparse. Those Velocity Motoring CSL wheels are M3 replicas that just so happen to work very nicely on the E53 and E83's.
