Aftermarket wheels not often found on E53's why?

I have been looking for 20x10 or 20x10.5 wheels and am having a hard time finding any, I do have a couple in mind but nothing that I would kill for.

Anyway, I have noticed that most X's around here still display stock wheels, and people even purchase stock replicas instead with something different. Why would that be?

Its just that x5worlders prefer the clean OEM look, and besides there are not a lot of aftermarket wheels that look better than the stock wheels, imo
If there are any, i'm sure you will see them here.
So far, my vote for the best aftermarket wheel for the E53 is the ACS type II

I have yet to see a set of aftermarket wheels that look better than any of the 19" or 20" OEM Sport wheels.

For me, I love the look of the 4.6is OEM Type 87's. I have seen some nice looking aftermarket rims on some of the X5's on here but I think the stock roms really look good!!!

Nice going with the rim design BMW!! Now, why the hell didn't you put some Brembo's behind them from the factory?????

Touchy subject... . .hard for me to explain

To each his own, but personally aftermarket rims
just takes away in the"authentic" look of a BMW period.
Don't get me wrong now, replica's are fine in my book.
Very few aftermarket rims however pull of a better
looking rim than OEM's.

SUV's are hard to throw rims on without looking "gangsta" IMO. To me a SUV, whatever the make, looks better with OEM wheels. Very few cars IMO look good with aftermarket wheels.

Like everyone has stated, BMW has done such a good job in selecting wheel designs for the X5 it is hard to improve. The best looking aftermarket wheels though are very expensive. For example: DPE, HRE, ACS, Hamann, etc.

I went with aftermarket 19" wheels from Tire Rack that look somewhat OEM, especially with roundels as center caps. They look OEMish but different without being
