Electrical Problems
I have a 2001 X5 with Nav. On my way home from work yesterday I was playing the radio and all of a sudden, the monitor unit started to move up and down on it's own. It was acting as if I was trying to put a tape into the unit. It then switch from playing the radio to the Navagation system. I then receive a message on the monitor which said. Monitor turning off due to over heating. I checked the navagation unit in the trunk and it was very hot. I open the hatch and allowed it to cool off. Everything started working fine after it had cooled off. Later on that night I stopped to get gas and when I turned the x5 on to leave the gas station, the door locks unlocked them self, the internal lights came on and the central locking system would not lock the doors when I hit it. The alarm would not lock the doors at first. I had to try it a couple of time before it finally locked the doors. Does anyone have any ideas? Sorry about the long post. |
