Took my X drag racing today

I went to the track today just to see what it could do. I got a 14.8sec run in the 95mph range. I have an 2004 4.4i sport with Dinan exhaust and will admit i though it was going to be in the 15sec range. Also would like to mention i have 20s which are heavy and half a tank of gas. I think with 18s and 1/8 of a tank of gas i could get close to 14.6. Maybe i will even remove the spare tire.

Has anyone else ever brought there X to the track for a 1/4 mile run. If yes what kind of runs have you done.

I got mine 16.2 with eisenhaus exhaust, 20 in. gpower wheels,dinan chips.

Can I see this phenominally fast X5 you have? I'm located in Santa Clara as well. I can't imagine mine would go faster than 15 seconds imo as mine is a 4.4i

quarter mile 14.8 = 6.2/3 0-60, thats pretty impressive with just an exhaust mod

Those numbers are pretty impressive...14.2 and 14.8 with few mods. What kind of launch are you doing? Brake hold and release at a certain rpm or just mashing the throttle?
