Grimace, The bags leaking would be why it is dropping/sagging. And when the system has a leak the pump has to be run a lot more often than normal and the relay that powers the pump gets burnt contacts which causes the inactive message.
You need to confirm the leaking airbags, fix that then change out the relay...

I'm adding to this thread as it seems the right place to do so.
My right rear sits about 1/2" lower than the left (fender flare lip to ground). Measuring rim to edge of lip is slightly more of a delta. I can see the sensor and arms and they are not in the same orientation relative to the suspension arm. I'm going to get into the software and see if I can adjust incrementally as a previous poster. I only have the rear air suspension. I'll report findings as I go. Cheers.

Connected with computer. Didn't really see a spot to incrementally adjust up. There was an adjust up, which just raised to max, then settled to zero. So, I used a jack, bumped the corner up, checked all 4 corners and reset zero ride height. When I started the car it rose to that level and held.
Note, I don't suspect leaks, as it held overnight and the bags were still inflated.

i have a bmw x5 3.0d e53 2005 model x5 sportpack.i have air suspension in the rear what does it actually do since i cannot adjust the air myself

What does it do
If your vehicle has extra weight on rear end, the ride-height sensor will detect this and use the air suspension to return the vehicle to the programmed ride height.
