Please help me fix my baby!

My X5 got hit by some Aholes and I have found a new front clip for it but i'm being told it will cost anywhere between $2300 (if I pull the engine myself) to $8k. They are telling me that acourding to BMW spec the front passenger sub frame rail that bent at the strut mount needs to be straightened before they can cut it off and weld the new one to the firewall. I have included pics of the damaged vehicle as well as new front clip. Everything behind the firewall and on the drivers side forward of the firewall is fine. The insurance co has totaled the car. I don't want to have to parts this thing out and buy a new one. Please any suggestions would be appreciated. The only engine damage is the air pump and the water pump snapped it's bracket off the engine. I was thinking of having this welded separately. The waterpump is fine it's just the screw hole where it mounts has snapped in half.

The insurance co has totaled the car for a good reason, take the money and buy a used X5 or get something better like a 535XI sport wagon.

"But other BMW buyers are even more radical than the X6 customer, trendsetters who know they can walk right past that X6 in the showroom and drive away in an even cooler, more futuristic vehicle. One that’s almost a second faster to 60 m.p.h., gets 3 more m.p.g., weighs 800 pounds less and carries more people and cargo.

It’s called the 535xi Sports Wagon. It is a station wagon, pure and simple, and it’s the real step forward in the crossover evolution. "

NY Times

Its just not cool to drive a Wagon.
