trooper is on a distinguished road
I recently had a problem where I would put my key in the ignition, turn the key, and nothing! Needless to say, I was a bit worried. I kept on trying and eventually, the car started.

Anyway, a call to ORR Motorsport to arrange for a tow and fix had them asking me to try any other keys I had. So, I pulled out the valet key and the darn thing started right up.

So, from that point, I was using the valet key to start and the "regular" key to unlock and lock the doors and back hatch. Not ideal, but it saved me $225 the dealer wanted for a new key.

Fast forward a couple of days and I found myself mistakenly inserting the regular key to start the car. As I did this, I accidentally pushed the center lock button as I was turning the key and, voila, the engined turned over. I don't know if I have a bad connection in the key or what, but this works like a charm. I can even turn the key all the way without pushing the button, then push the button and the car starts right up.

Anyway, just thought I'd post this and let anyone else know what worked for me should they experience the same problem.

Have a great day all!
