PDC Parking control Distant

Guys, in my 2003 E39 which has the PDC front and back, I have an issue. everytime put the car in reverse, the PDC give me a long beep like if there is something real close, and the PDC light start flashing, then after 8 seconds the beep goes away but the pdc light continues flashing, any ideas?

Sounds like a bad sensor. If you can figure out which one it is they're not that hard to change yourself. I have an extra one myself for the rear of an E53... don't think that would fit your application though.

The diagnostic equiptment at the dealer would tell you exactly which one is out, but then you would have to pay their diagnois fee. (unless you know someone there that can hook you up)

E53 is 2000 - 2006 X5. And while they all have the same plug connection, I'm not sure that they all mount the same. I will look into it tomorrow at work, and If it will work for you, I'll give you a good price. But you should make sure a sensor is indeed what you need first, otherwise you're trying this sensor in all 8 positions until you find which one it is...
