Angry Umnitza P53s

So I placed an order about 3 weeks ago for Umnitza Projecter 53s for my E53 X5, despite being advised by friends and message board warnings to stay away from Umnitza. I thought it was a rather long time but didn't mind because I figured the wait would pay off. So I arrive home today and they were there..I open the box, and yeah. When people advise you to avoid ordering from umnitza..they are doing that for a reason. They sent me some cheap headlights that you can get from ebay for like $250. I paid $600 for Umnitza headlights not this cheap crap! And this isn't some mistake, I've read on message boards that they have done the same exact thing. What kind of company would even TRY to put their name on something that isn't up to their quality? I am extremely disappointed and will be sending this back. I am now thinking of possibly ordering from a different company, possibly Custom Angel Eyes.. hope they are better.

Cheap crap sent:

What should have been sent:

Sorry to hear of your troubles, I hope you get your money back.

Bavtoyz.com, part of of umitza, ripped me for a good $200.

How do they get away with all this? They need to be tought a thing or two about BASIC customer service. But ya I should be getting either a refund or an exchange. I ordered from Modbargains so I kind of have them on my side. So far they have excellent service. I was thinking about forgetting the Umnitza product completly because of this experience, but customangeleyes.com lights are about 600 more (I need the whole headlight housing). But I guess I would rather pay a bit more for a good quality product and service..

Damn...ok I see your beef now. So you're saying you paid umnitza for the chromium's AE's with the p53's and they didn't give you the chromium AE's? On top of not even giving you the correct actual p53's?

yup yup. but surprisingly umnitza called me to correct the problem..which is good I guess. they say there is an issue with the p53 headlight that i wanted (it leaks) that is why they sent me the 'new' one.

Well, for the benefit of doubt, I wasn't going to post this publicly until I confirm my case is solved (or not!). But since you mentioned it....

I'm having exactly the same experience with umitza, they send me the same cheap crap and I was almost fooled too. Not only it's look and build quality are completely out of place, it started to fog and have water condensation; both of the AE on one passenger side dropped hanging after a week; and the light pattern was the wrong side of the road;... not to mentioned that they had shipped the headlights without the harness.

After all the ding-dong-ding-dong, they said (more than 3 weeks ago) they would send me the replacement that is exactly what it should be... then they pushed for a week because the replacement they got were broken and had to order from Taiwan.. then last week they asked to push for another 2 weeks because they had to order from Europe in order to get the ones with correct pattern... bla bla bla.

So hear I am with the X5 looking so stupid... having fogs and water dropping on one side, and having the AE rings hanging on the other... oh and while driving back home this evening, I got stop by the police who issued me a ticket for driving without the proper lights (the pattern)

That's some BS they gave you. Just ask to return or file dispute with your credit card company and let them handle it. They promised you a product but sent a different one. That's fraud and you can bring them to small claim court. If they cannot resolve it immediately, they shouldn't give you hard time returning that junk back.
