This is the common problem on all BMW new and old. I have bad pixels on the cluster, radio, and ac control. I managed to get the cluster replaced for free on goodwill from BMW. The bad pixels on radio and ac controls came up later so i wouldn't try calling BMW since i know almost for sure they don't do it on goodwill on those parts.

There are quite a few places on eBay that do a pixel repair service. Works ok and is cheap. Just had mine done.
