Engine tick on startup

03 4.4 So I had this problem for some time now, especially in the mornings. For the first few second the engine would tick like a diesel...
I used Mobil 0x40.
Few days ago I changed my oil to 5x30 and got a BMW oil filter from the dealer and no more ticking in the morning, even with the temperatures around 30F

Just FYI if someone has this problem too - change your oil and FILTER to BMW brand and that might help
