Yeah, but since im not happy with the light wood trim im not really after it..

Dont know, its supposed to give a more distinghused look, but i get boat associations right away..

If anyone is looking for the light wood apperance, i have the full set... At least for a little while longer.
I'm not real fond of the wood trim in my X5 either. I'm going to get the cosmos black interior trim. If you're going to have your wood trim shot in your vehicle color, I'd love to see how that comes out as I was contemplating doing the same (but mine is Stahlgrau Metallc). Someone here had their engine and valve cover done in what I believe is Stahlgrau Metallic and I think it looked quite nice and I'm thinking it would look pretty nice in the interior too. We'll see how the Cosmos Black looks and go from there. I don't imagine they'd charge you that much more to paint them while they're shooting the X.

Ever thought about removing the existing trim, selling it on eBay and purchasing a replacement set in your desired colour?
I think you'd regret spraying it, if you wanted to go down that route I'd speak to a professional who could advise whether it's worth doing or not. They'll be able to judge what preparation is required to ensure a good bond to the surface.
Last thing you want is to do a home made job and then regret it, could be an expensive route.

Your choice pal, you've got bigger balls than me if you did try it.

Cool I'm guessing they'll use flex agent like they do with the flexible bumpers. Looking forward to see how it goes!

Ill leave some photos here on the site.

Just one more question.. I feel like i've highjacked this thread but here it go.

I'm repainting the whole car this week, and was thinking about getting the lower part of car painted in the same colour as the rest.. As mentioned before, this is th jet balck 668 color..

WHAt do you think, would it be worth it.? (700 bucks) WIll it look good.?

Anyone seen a picture of a X colored like this.?

Thanks.

GOt the trim installed now, and is very pleased with the result. Had to use flash with the camera, so the contrast between trim and interior appears stronger than it is.

If we ever get sun here in Norway, ill try to take some photos.

Looks great ekvals, exactly what im going for with mine. (You used jet black right?)

Black interiors require more exposure from the camera. Try setting it in manual mode and leaving the shutter open longer to capture the true contrast withOUT flash... be sure to use some sort of tripod (ladder, box on a chair, etc) So you can show the naysayers just how well it came out
