Well, I will weigh in on this one with my thoughts. Check your fuel pressure. Not so much the pressure itself but more importantly the volume. I received p0171/p0174 a while bank on my D90 and after cleaning the maf/replacing the maf(now I have a spare)/vacuum testing...I pulled the fuel filter and bam, all kinds of stuff came out. As I understand it, if the fuel volume is too low, the ecm will attempt to open the injectors duration to max value, that fuel is then insufficient(lean) to heat the cats up and the maf reacts with strange codes as it attempts to maintain the proper fuel/air ratio. Just my 2 cents and definitly check the vacuum system....
