The search function rarely fails to yield the exact results you're looking for

Member brain5 hooked me up with a great site for carriers. I highly recommend the Thule 5401 Snowcat system...it attaches onto the roof rails. Check this thread:

Thule Aerobars... I prefer the look of OEM but I've heard of some challenges mounting specific attachments (I believe due to the width of the OEM bar), so I went with the next best thing...

Rackattack.com - they have 5-6 stores too if you're in one of their cities...

Thule Crossroad 450. Attaches and removes very easily, and the rectangular bars take any attachment I have tried. Racks are functional IMO, not a style accessory.

Wow, not to hijack the thread or anything, but I've never seen those rims on an X5 before. Are they OE BMW ?
BTW, there is another thread recently created that discusses the various BMW OE racks. Look at the thread called "profile 2000"
