quick question

i was checking on engines and parts i will need if my engine takes a dump. i have a ls1 383 stroker that pushes 450 hp with 492 ft lbs of torque. it was made for my 96 impala ss. i have the wire harness , everything for the engine. even a trans. i was wondering if the situation ever came up could it be possible to one day put that into the x? 2003 x5 4.4

well it is and it might not be.... im asking if there is a possibility. i have herd of chevy 350's in bmw cars. i have this engine sitting. if one day i need to use it. im going to get a 4.6 or 4.8 and supercharge it. i think it would be cool to have a x5 with a chevy stroker engine in it. if i have all the parts..... i dont see why this could not happen. the only thing that im worried about is the wiring. if i do it i would still want all of the bmw guages and everything to still be the same. this is just a question. that could turn into the real thing.

Nope. In fact, if I ever blew the motor in mine, it would get a cammed LS2. Better mileage, more horsepower, cheaper maintenance, what's not to love?
