My New Wheels With Pics & Question About Wheel Balance Weights
Got my style 168s fitted and am very happy with the look There is a little steering shake at 55mph and I have noticed the front passenger wheel has an awful lot of balance weight added, it goes halfway around the circumference of the wheel Is this normal? That seems a little exessive. I would take it back and get the wheels re-balanced. I've never had more than 5 weights on the inside of any given wheel I've had balanced.

That is a lot of weight added. I wouldn't accept it. I would rotate the tire on the rim, and have the balancer understand the problem better, ie how much is the tire and how much is the rim. If they are new rims, I would be talking to the supplier.

That is a lot of weights! Are all the wheels like that? I would not drive to much on them... The X looks nice!

go back and get them balanced again before you return the wheels. they probably didnt align the rim correctly on the balancing machine. Take all the weights off and start again

Thanks for the compliments I dont think the rims require hubcentric rings as they 74.1mm bore, although they didnt feel tight on the hub when I fitted them I need to get the car tracked so I may ask my local tire fitter to check the balance issues. |
