Are you using a USB to serial adapter, or a serial to serial?

If you are using a USB to serial adapter you have to install the drivers!

Do I have to connect the serial to serial that I have to be able to see it on the list?

So, what connection is plugged into your computer? Serial or USB?

Nice write up.... With the KCA-420, do you have any problems trying to play specific songs off a playlist? I have a 160GB iPod connected with over 15K songs on it, and if I try to play a song directly off a playlist it goes to a different song off my complete library. I finally just switched to using the iPod on my full speed cable connection and it works perfectly.

I have an 80GB iPod and around 10K songs on it. The only issue I have is that when I first got it installed one of the connections was loose and it would jump from radio to iPod whenever I hit a bump in the road, but that was a quick fix.


I go for more shorter playlists than longer ones, and I haven't had any problems with playlists and a lot of the time I just do artist searches until I find what I want. I do wish it had a 'Jump to letter' for the artist search, it would make browsing a lot easier.
