I finished retrofitting rear PDC to an e90 last week, it coded up fine and all up probably took 10-15 minutes. These units are so handy.

More goodies, dedicated IBM X31. Modified the registry so that Windows doesn't load Explorer at start-up anymore but just opens with a bare wallpaper, and also mapped the DIS Progman (under VMWare) ETK TIS directly onto functions

GT1

Hello all, Just read this thread and Would like to get my own GT1 diagnostic's.

Can you please confirm what I will need:
IBM T30
GT1 software and connection cables. My car has the internal connection by the driver. where is the best place to buy this. Any recommendations.

Many thanks

You really need to decide if you want to go down the OEM/clone route with the DIS/GT1 set up or some aftermarket cable. I went OEM/clone with a T30 with a GT1 yellow head and OPS. I would recommend Vince at Autotech in the US eBay Feedback Profile for autotech he is very good and I've never had any quality issues.

Ideally want it like other setups for support rather than create issues. therefore the OEM set would I think be best. Having said that the T30 is old hardware now and may cause issues. I'll check out what Vince has to offer.

Thanks

Is any one seeing an Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBV) fault? No warning lights show up in the dash, car performs fine as far as I can tell and there're no other fault codes stored. The EBV fault always come back after being cleared and driving the car for a while.

Also, I keep getting Instrument Cluster report that the model series for which the instrument cluster was coded could not be identified and this can result in false readings. Any one seeing this as well?

2005 X5 4.4 sports.
