Here's the directions for your wipers....

X5world - View Single Post - How to use Rain-sensor wipers?

The Owners Manual is a great place to answer your functional questions about the car as well.

The rain sensor is activated by turning the sensitivity button at least one notch.

When i set the key memroy, i get in the car, put the ignition to number 2, adjust seat, mirrors and steering wheel. When all done, i put the memory button and store it in 1,2 or 3.

When i then get out of the car and lock then unlock the car, none of the adjustet things should change.

Then i take the girlfriends key, unlock the car, adjust everything as described above, but store it in another number then the first time.

Done like this, the car adjust according to the key which unlock the car.

I hope this made sense, If it doesnt work for you, im afraid i dont know what the issue is..

Good luck.

ok, ignition 2 is when the car is fully on (engine running) correct?

so as i understand:

turn the car on, move my seat, re-program it to a memory position, then turn off, lock the car.
take another key, follow the same settings and set it to memory 2?, turn off the car, lock and it should work?

You dont need to start the car, but shouldnt make any difference, i think.

2 is where it goes after starting the engine, and is right before you start the engine.. If that makes sense.

But, yeah, that does it for my car..

Worked for me; Perhaps you missed a step in the instructions.
It's easy to make a mistake. Many of us have gone thru this
procedure and it does work.
