Today i got up and looked at the X and said (out dated?)

are E53's out dated and worn out? Or is it me that woke up depressed with my X?

the same shape for just about 10 years....

so a 2006 has the same shape as a 2000(so a 2006 looks like a 2000)...

(2004 face lift is not much different from a pre-facelift )

i got a complete 2006 4.8is front end.. my truck only has 40k. and is perfect all around(knock on wood)

Maybe im bored of it.....

Personally I think the E53 is still one of the best looking SUV (or SAV) on the road today.

What I have learned is get the COLOR and OPTIONS that you want. I find myself very bored with my M Coupe b/c it is Silver...and Silver is boring as hell to me right now. I'd definitely be happier if it was Imola Red, Estoril, or Laguna Seca Blue.

I thought the same thing about my 04 4.4i...until I started to mod it. More so this spring than the past 2 years I have owned it, but swapping for a sport steering wheel, adding the 4.8is front, and now finishing up the rear flares and trim is breathing new life into the look and overall stance of the truck.

I find a lot of the non-sport 3.0i x5's look outdated with the small chick wheels, single slanted exhaust, amber corners/fronts/sides, non sport steering wheel, non sport seats.

I think the beauty all depends on what model and options you have on your x5 to make it look nicer.

Totally agree. Our first X5 was a 2002 and I had it lightly modded with grills, H&R springs, 20's&22's, stereo, pipes, etcetc. Our new(ish) 2006 is a 3,0 non-sport and it looks a bit plain. Soon to change.

For me, believe it or not, it is more about the wonderful balence and drivability that is BMW. I love the X5 to death and would never have an ML, MDX or Q7. Just my opinion and obviously this decision is for nobody but you!!!

Long live the classic(?) E53!!!!
