i bought oem ballast, ignitor off ebay from another BMW vehicle..took it to my shop they installed it w/ new 6000k's. they go on when i turn on my headlights, and if i want them off i PRESS the fog light swiotch. I never have them off(as i angled them lower)..i love the look aon all the time. If i drive on hwy i can have HIGHS, low hids, AND hid fogs on all at the same time....i didnt buy any aftertmarket hid kit, just used OEM bmw equipment out of a wrecked car..i have no flickering issues and i love set up, also have it in my car.

the point that Jaba and I are trying to make is that, we payed for our product, and expected our product to meet certain expectations and that obv did not happen... we are not tryin to be rude, or say anyones' service is bad

We are simply saying that, when we ordered the HID fogs from Jlevi, we were expecting two things

1)No computer warning

2)A full plug N play procedure... If something like a relay is needed for the install of the HID fogs, then it should either be included in the kit and maybe charged a little bit more for the kit, OR make the little resistors be 50$ a pair as a seperate option.
NOT 90$ for each resistor, in my opinion that is kind of unfair i think..

We apologize for the inconvenience, we were not aware of the fact that X5's computers checked the foglights. On the E46, it does not and is 100% plug and play.

The resistor offers a very viable solution and no matter what HID kit you purchase, you will encounter this issue. Again I REALLY apologize and sympathize with your situation.

In no way am i trying to make you feel bad please understand that.I have had very good experience with JLevi, I am still tryin to get those DPE's when I have enough money.

But ya Im just hoping that the HID life doesnt reduce by them flickering.. IF it doesnt then i dont care at all that they flicker, it doesnt bother me that much, its just when i turn them on when im driving they flicker and drivers stare

And whats wrong with that?

Prolly cause they wish they had the same setup.

I kick on the 8000k HIDs in my 22yr ol sallon (733i) and everbody stares at'em.

btw, they flicker too, as all gas charged lighting do.

guys--

all HID lights flicker when you turn them on. Even the X5 OEM; but since they are pointed down and then raise with the autolevel function, you don't notice it.. its caused by the electrical charge and heat warming up the filament to full brightness.

hell, if it doesn't flicker, something is wrong.

The hids on my motorcycle flicker when I turn her on and the bulbs are cold, or i flash my high beam. i love it. it gets people's attention...
